Chelsea Ellis M.S., OTR/L
Chelsea graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2013. She has worked in several pediatric settings including outpatient clinics, pediatric home health and early intervention in Alabama and North Carolina. She also has continuing education in sensory processing, the Talk Tools Program and Reflex Integration. Chelsea is grateful for the experience of working with and learning from some incredible kids and families. She says she doesn’t feel as though she is working as an Occupational Therapist as she receives so many benefits and from her job.
She is passionate about seeing a difference in the lives of her patients and their families. She sees each little step as rewarding and feels this quote from Jean Ayres best sums up her role: “When the therapist is doing her job effectively and the child is organizing his nervous system, it looks as if the child is merely playing.” Having recently moved back to Alabama, Chelsea is excited to join the family-dynamic atmosphere at AARC, sharing the same passion to truly impact the community. When not working, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband, going out on the boat, traveling, cooking out with family and friends, and Auburn football.
